I ate dinner at an Italian restaurant last weekend that featured pictures of scenes from New York City and famous people from there. There were several pictures of the NYC skyline, and they were all taken prior to 9-11-2001. I spent some time looking at the World Trade Center towers and remembering, realizing the anniversary was close at hand.
Today, I went to do a search on Google. They didn’t have a widget today. Under the search box was a tiny black ribbon, the kind people with a cause would pin to a lapel. You might not pay much attention to it, it’s so subtle. If you put the cursor over it, a popup box says, “Remembering September 11th.” Simple. Elegant. And it is not a link to another page.
I like it.
